Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog is a Sega icon, whose games now span across almost every current game console, including mobile. He officially became the Sega mascot in 1991, replacing Alex Kidd.

The first Sonic the Hedgehog game was included as a pack-in with the Sega Genesis console. It greatly helped the Genesis sales, and for a little while sales kept on par with the Super Nintendo. Eventually, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was included free with the Genesis console.

Sonic has had many spin-offs over the years including: Sonic Spinball and Sonic All-Stars Racing.

It used to be that you would never have thought Mario and Sonic would be in the same game, lol! Times have changed!

Sonic is awesome. Hard to believe it's been 20+ years since he came out on the Genesis.
