Ecco the Dolphin achieved stardom in the early 1990's. He was very iconic for Sega, and starred in several games. His games were released for the Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Dreamcast, and eventually the Playstation 2.

Ecco the Dolphin games were unique for their time. They included certain abilites such as sonor and a charge attack. Players had to solve puzzles and help other sea life.

The Sega Dreamcast and Playstation 2 games were made in a 3D environment, and the graphics were considered life-like at that time.
